Kilkis

The prefecture Kilkis is found in Central Macedonia and borders in the northern on the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, in southern on the prefecture Thessalonica, in eastern on the prefecture Serres and in westerners on the prefecture Pella. Dense vegetation and abundant waters characterize the prefecture. At the northern are found the mountain range Kerkini and the lake of Doirani that belongs at the half in Greece. In this lake fall the Galikos river while parallel course follows also the river Axios.
