Lakonia

The more southern prefecture of Peloponnese and continental Greece and the more southern continental extremity of Europe. It is rained by Aegean Sea ,Messiniakos gulf and Lakonikos gulf. It has two main mountain ranges, Taygetos that is also the higher top of Peloponnese (2.407 metres) and Parnona (1.961 metres). Between them we found the valley of river Eurotas, and the capital of prefecture, Sparti. It borders in the northern on the prefecture Arkadia, and in westerners on the prefecture Messinia. In the prefecture Lakonia belong also the uniquelived island of Peloponnese, Elafonisos.
